Linwood (Lin) Scott is broke and has just been deserted by her husband who rain off with all the money and a stripper. She is forced to move back home again at the age of 50. Learning to live again is a struggle, but Lin perseveres and becomes a vital part of the town and her family.

Story is driving by the quirky characters rather than plot. Themes of friendship and rising above adversity abound. 2002, 356 pages.
