The Thing about Jane Spring by Sharon Krum

28 Sep

31-year-old lawyer Jane Spring has a promising career as a Manhattan district attorney but no clue how to keep a man. She is abrasive and handles life as her father taught her-as any service member would. Still, Jane doesn’t understand why she has alienated everyone in her life. During a small breakdown, Jane becomes engrossed in a Doris Day movie marathon and discovers a way to get a man-Be Doris Day. Because, Doris always got her man!

Premise is cute but follow through is not clear. Story is set in New York City but you do not get a feel for the city at all. The characters are not developed and not even the main character is someone that we want to know about. One-dimensional. 2005, 315 pages.
