Away Laughing on a Fast Camel: Even More Confessions of Georgia Nicolson by Louise Rennison

27 Sep

Georgia is boyfriendless now that Robbie the Sex God has gone to New Zealand. Just when Georgia thinks her snogging skills are about to dry up, she meets a new guy. Throw in the antics of Angus and his cross-eyed offspring and you cannot go wrong.

A very quick read in diary format. Told from Georgia’s point of view, so you only get her take on everything. A quirky version of character development has occured over the course of the series. For Americans it can be set anywhere in England. For the truly confused, there is a dictionary of unfamiliar British terms in the back. The focus of the story is on Georgia and the torments that happen to her as a teenager.

#5 in the Georgia Nicolson series. 2004, 276 pages.
