Janey Wilcox, model for Victoria’s Secret, will stop at nothing to get to the top. Having the best, being seen by and with the best and a never-ending supply of money is her ultimate goal. Lying, cheating, stealing and sleeping with whomever, whenever is not a problem. When it all catches up with her in the end-tomorrow is another day.
This novel is dripping in satire, but even knowing this, it is very hard to have any empathy for Janey. This makes it hard to connect with the story. Imagine Scarlett O’Hara in today’s world. 2003, 404 pages.
