The Other Side of the Story by Marian Keyes

19 Sep

In Ireland, Gemma Hogan’s dad leaves his 35 year marriage to shack up with his secretary and her mam falls apart. Gemma harbors a lot of rage-at mam for being so helpless, with her dad for running away and with her best friend, Lily, for stealing her man.

Medium to fast pasce considering the length and the size of type. Varying points of view where all is not quickly revealed.  The characters are developed over time with the three main female leads.  They are strong, layered and easy to identify with.  The storyline is interior in focus with an emphasis on people.  2004, 516 pages.
